How To Fix Computer Errors In 15 Minutes Or Less?

without comments

The aim of this article is to equip the reader with practical advice on how to resolve the most common causes of errors in their computers. Individual recommendation can usually be implemented within 15 minutes.

Most Common Computer Errors - Computers have brought dramatic changes in our day to day lives, yet like any machine, they need regular maintenance and upgrade. There are many simple tasks which will fix computer problems and prevent errors.

In the majority of cases, errors exist in the EXE, DLL and driver files. This happens often as a result of corrupt or invalid entries in the registry. These files are important as they create entries in the registry, which are in turn used to operate the computer. When the registry becomes unstable or damaged, it will significantly slow down the computer, and will create random responses.

Run Defragmenter - To begin with, run a disk defragmenter. This operation reorganizes the content of the disk to store the many parts of each file closer together and contiguously.Defragmenter use compaction to create large areas of free space on the hard drive and this means that the computer can find information faster with less errors overall.

Registry Scan - In order to fix computer errors in the registry, it is also advisable to complete periodic registry scans, as this enables unwanted data to be detected and subsequently deleted. Many popular registry cleaning tools can help complete this operation easily. There are many registry repair programs which also have the functionality to complete registry maintenance tasks, for instance deleting undesirable programs such as viruses and spyware, scanning and fixing computer errors in the registry, in addition they can backup the computer registry and defragment the hard disk. Click on fix computer errors for more information.

Remove Spyware and Viruses - Spyware and virus programs create most of the computer errors. Viruses are malicious software, which often damage computer files as well as reduce computer speed. By contrast, spyware copy malicious programs onto the computer and this code is subsequently executed to steal confidential data. This code is later sent to third parties for further malicious use. In order to fix computer errors due to spyware and viruses, follow a common sense approach and use updated anti-spyware and antivirus tools. Click on adware and spyware removal for more information.

Fix Boot Sector - Faulty programs, in addition to virus infections can also damage computer boot sectors, and this can prevent the system from booting. In order to fix computer errors, which relate to booting, it is advisable to use the relevant operating system booting CD usually provided with your computer. For instance, XP users can use the relevant operating system to repair the Windows installation.

Upgrade Your RAM - Insufficient memory is another source of errors, which can lead to various computer problems. Some of these problems lead to the computer crashing, the dreaded “blue screen”, system hanging, sudden reboot and even crashing programs. Fixing computer errors that relate to memory can often be achieved with freeware, which help resolve RAM and related issues. These software tools greatly improve computer performance and are also very easy to use. In addition it is highly advisable to complete a computer memory test.

Fix PST Files With This Guide

without comments

by Steve Samson

PST files, or personal storage files, can get lost or be damaged just like any others. Often, you can use the Microsoft Inbox Repair Tool for this and other problems, but sometimes it won’t work and it seems like nothing else you try will, either. Fortunately, you don’t have to give up on your files altogether as there are still ways to fix pst file.

If you have Microsoft Outlook, you’ll have PST files and need to be concerned about them. They store all the work you do with that e-mail tool and so if they are lost or damaged, lots of your most important information can become lost or damaged as well. This is very bad if you are either independent or running a business with your e-mail.

Actually, you should probably avoid the tools provided by Microsoft altogether. Instead, you should consider looking into the more sophisticated options provided by third parties. Their creators are knowledgeable and efficient, and they will get you what you need. If on the other hand, you try to take the easy way out, you might lose still more of what you need. Microsoft’s Inbox Repair Tool often deletes anything it is unable to read.

The only time you can use the tool is when your header alone is the cause of the problem, which sometimes happens when you upgrade your system. With anything else, it’s too big a risk. You’ll get nothing but error messages and might not be able to open anything in the program. Then you’ll be worse off than you ever were before and looking for even more things to have to take care of.

Some tools are simply known as recover PST tools or utilities and they will do the most effective job of performing the task their names indicate. They will recover your files by finding e-mails during a scan of Outlook that doesn’t do any further damage to them. This way, files will remain as they’re supposed to be, but you’ll still get things back.

Centralized data storage options have both good and bad qualities. On the one hand, it’s easy to find and take care of anything you need. On the other, they raise your chances of running into a bad situation even higher. Crashes in your hard drive or network or a simple power outage could all leave you regretting your choice of storage method.

A problem like this can leave you with a lot of work on your hand. Again, you will have to recover everything you need, meaning you’ll have to go and extract it all out before it can be used on the new PST files that will allow you to access Outlook again. If you have to tackle something like this, you’ll want to look for anything that can make it easier.

There is little worse, in terms of computer problems, than having something go wrong with a basic need like e-mail. PST files leave many people feeling confused when they can’t get to what they need. But now, you’ll be able to address whatever might come up.

The Easy Way To Find Nintendo Wii Game Downloads

without comments

by Scott Frayburn

With the Nintendo Wii selling out everywhere you look, it’s no surprise that we have been receiving many emails from people wondering if it is possible to download Wii games from their computer. We thought we would put together a quick guide showing you how and where you can download Wii games.

Downloading Wii games is a great way to find new games and save a bunch of cash. You can find the newest and most popular games right from your computer and don’t have to worry about pulling out your wallet each time.

Ok, enough babbling by me! Here are your options for Wii downloads:

To download Wii games you have two main options to consider:

Option #1 - Download Wii Games

You might stumble upon a few websites online that advertise offering free Wii downloads. They claim that you can download Wii games after you install their free software.

These sites sound like the perfect option, but there a couple of things you need to know about them before you download anything.

The biggest problem with these types of websites is that they immediatelly put your computer at risk at catching a virus or some type of infection. There have been a number of sites like this that have been shut down for spreading all sorts of viruses.

There is nobody who monitors these websites and anyone can upload a file. It’s always a risk when you download something from these websites as you can never be sure what you are getting.

The main complaint we hear about these websites is how slow the downloads are. You can literally wait days for a game to finish downloading which makes it a pain in the ‘you know what’. To make things worse, many of the files end up being “corrupt” which means they don’t even work once you try to use them.

You probably aren’t surprised to hear that we don’t recommend this option. It’s just too risky - you can infect your computer and it’s an easy way to waste a bunch of time as well!

Option Number Two - Download Wii Games

Good news - this next option is completely safe and will let you download just about any Wii game right on your computer.

There are a small handful of smart entrepreneurs that have seen the demand for Wii downloads and have built specialty Wii download websites that allow people to download Wii games, movies and music.

I’m sure you have already guessed that these websites charge a fee, but thankfully it’s not expensive. For about $50 you get a lifetime membership that lets you login and download Wii games whenever you want. There are no monthly or “per download” fees - you are only ever billed once.

Since the membership fee is about the cost of just one new game, you can see how this option can save you a good chunk of money. It’s an easy way to build up a big selection of games for your Wii without having to go to the store each time you want to try a new game.

You can start a free trial at a couple of the top-ranked Wii download websites (there’s a link at the bottom of this article).

It will take you about 10 minutes to register and all the software you need to be able to use the games on your Wii is automatically included.

If you are the lucky owner of a Nintendo Wii, downloading Wii games is a great way to keep your system full of new games. We should give you one big warning though - it’s extremely addictive!

Don’t Work Part Time Online Without Reading This

without comments

When you want to work part time online, you may find yourself trying to navigate through the Internet and hope that you don’t get lost.  If you want to know what the real scoop is, keep reading.

The following options to work part time online are the easiest ways to get started in the wave of the future.  Don’t miss the boat on some of these.

•    Paid surveys – The thing I really like about paid surveys is it gets things rolling.  For the person who doesn’t spend a lot of time online, these are ideal.  You’ll get well-acquainted with some basic principles of online marketing.  As you read the surveys, you’ll begin to get a feel for what works with Internet Marketing (IM).

You really don’t even have to take it any further than this if you’re just looking for a few hundred dollars each month.  This is not the answer to bringing in massive income, but you can make $2-$5 on each survey.  In some cases, up to $75 can be made.

•    Content Writing – Content writing for other web designers, bloggers, or affiliate marketers is in high demand.  You will learn a lot about advertising online this way, too.  Things like search engine optimized keywords need to be worked into the content.  The style of writing for social media differs from blogging, sales pages, and press releases.

•    Affiliate Marketing – This is one hot area.  It’s easy to get into a CPA program or to sign up with marketers who will pay commission for sales you make of their product on a website you set up.  You can even just provide links to the main website and start getting commission off the clicks.

When you want to work from home online, do a little research on a website which offers several different choices, and guidance in all the viable options that are completely legitimate.

what you just learned about home business is just the begining. To get the full story and all the details, check us out at top-work-from-home.com

Clustering

without comments

by Pri Vag

Clustering is suitable for all large businesses with an array of servers within their network system. It enables a company to secure its data and therefore reduces the risk of losing any of your information. In the event of any network failures, your company can rest easy that your information is safe and secure.

Clustering is the high availability technology for Server Infrastructure. A number of servers (minimum 2) are interconnected via a private network and all have access to a shared area of Storage (disk arrays). The information is hosted by these servers and in the event of a server failure the processes are switched to another server within the Cluster. Resilient Clusters give the business 99.99% data availability and virtually eliminate downtime.

Resilient Clusters involve a larger span of hardware. Connectivity switches have redundant counterparts so that if the main switch fails, the backup switch automatically takes over. The same happens with the Array Controller. A second controller is installed and automatically takes over if the main controller fails.

If your requirements do not demand a Clustering solution but your company it data intensive, a NAS solution may be more suitable (Network Attached Storage).

NAS can range from a single network compliant device with a hard disk drive or a full NAS system with capabilities of storing Terabytes. The entire range of products however are based around the same concept; to provide external network attached storage.

Clustering is required if the information stored on the servers is mission critical. In other words if not having the data for a day is unacceptable and puts the business at risk then Clustering is required. Clustering ensures that there is enough resilience available in the system to combat most failures.

In conclusion, to ensure the security of your data make sure you think about clustering your network.

Satellite PC Box - Watch Satellite TV Online

without comments

by Chris Jensen

Making a big buzz these days in the television and entertainment field is the satellite tv on a PC software. You can now watch satellite TV online. Although the tech savvy people these days are capable of getting access to free satellite technology for free, such an act is basically illegal. As much as it feels good to get something without the burden of our pockets, abiding by the law is still the most honorable thing to do.

With the growing popularity of online satellite tv, tons of Satellite Tv On Pc Software programs have come out that it’s already difficult for us to distinguish which software is the best. They all have colorful promises but the only way to prove such promises is to buy the product. Therefore it is best to define what makes an online satellite tv software reliable.

The most commonly employed technique in finding the best software so you can watch satellite TV online is to do a comprehensive online search about it. There are numerous sites that promote this brand and that brand, so a better thing is to search for as many reviews as you can for you to be able to weigh the advantages and disadvantages in purchasing the software.

Asking opinions or ideas from close circle of friends will also be a better help in the sense that these people are people you know personally and they certainly would not let you down. In specific aspects as this, asking what other people think is more important than following our instincts.

Another major thing to consider in hunting for the best deals over the internet for softwares that will enable you to watch satellite TV is the speed or swiftness of the software business entity in sending the downloadable software. A reliable Satellite Tv On Pc Software is one that is readily downloadable already as soon as you have made the payment. Waiting for days for the software is not the equivalent consequence of your money. If you want to watch satellite TV online you need to invest on a product or software that can deliver good service and unmatched customer care.

Dos and Don’ts of Computer Work at Home

without comments

If you’re thinking about starting computer work at home, there are plenty of legitimate opportunities from which to choose.  Working online is the perfect opportunity for stay-at-home moms and people hit by the economic crunch.  If you’re thinking about trying your hand in computer work from home keep the following advice in mind.

Here are some of the common mistakes I have seen people make when they start up their home based business:
•Ditch the dial up.  If you haven’t already made the move from dial up to broad band or wireless, do it now.  Plus, you’ll find that plenty of places offer free wireless Internet for laptop carriers.  This is an added convenience for computer work at home if you just need to get out and be around some people.  If you have a laptop, make sure it’s wireless or invest in a wireless card.

The simple fact is you don’t have time to wait around for pages to load.  If you don’t have high-speed Internet where you live, find an Internet card and pick up reception that way.

•If you’re an affiliate marketer, build a mailing list.  The biggest mistake that newbies make is not building their mailing list.

Try a program that promotes viral online marketing.  There are plenty of e-mail management companies out there that will help you track your opt-ins and opt-outs.   You may even want to buy a Google Tracking extension to your website, to see what your users do when they go on your website, so you can market better.

•Learn something new everyday.  Yes, you can find computer work from home with an easy start up, but it’s wise to try to become more adept at using your computer.  The basics include Word, Excel, e-mails, uploading graphics, and (if you feel really exploratory) HTML.

Keep these basic tips in mind and stay focused, and computer work from home will be simple.

Quick Guide to iPod Accessories for your iPod Nano 8GB

without comments

Buying accessories for your iPod Nano 8GB is one of the most exciting parts of owning the device. Even the established corporations such as the Altec Lansing and Bose joins the crowd of iPod accessories retailers. There is no question that the iPod, with or without accessories, dominates the digital audio player market. Even though the iPod Nano 8GB has small, internal speakers, they don’t play audio files so the need for iPod accessories is great. You’ll only be able to hear the beep from the alarm clock or warning tones through the internal speaker. There are many types of external speakers on the market, which can turn your iPod Nano 8GB into a home stereo system. Even small iPod Nano 8GB speakers work well for gatherings and parties.

With the FM tuner, users have the option of listening to the radio rather than listening to their stored music. This is one of the better iPod accessories for people who enjoy listening to live radio. Skins, cases, and covers are iPod accessories that are important to use to protect your iPod from dirt and scratches. Not only can you protect your iPod with covers and cases, but many retailers offer stylish versions as well.

When shopping for iPod accessories, don’t forget the iPod armband, which will allow you to listen to your music while you workout, run, or jog. Although it is one of the smallest iPod accessories, the armband is an important one as it protects your iPod Nano 8GB while you’re on the go. Now you don’t have to leave your tunes behind when you go to the gym or for a run. You can even do the most difficult Yoga position and still keep your iPod, playing a soothing crystal and waves sound, in place. You can also use these iPod accessories for your iPod Nano 8GB when you are just out for a walk or riding your bike. Noise cancelling headphones is another exciting iPod accessory you can take on the go. You can even get wireless headphones for your iPod Nano 8GB.

BMW is the first automotive company to release iPod accessories for its automobiles. BMW introduced iPod automobile interface sometime in 2005. An iPod control was integrated into the built-in steering wheel. The iPod Nano 8GB unit is secured safely in the glove compartment and remains in place every time via a cable harness that is attached to it. The iPod steering wheel control allows the driver to create and shuffle five (5) “BMW playlist.” The playlist is displayed through the small LCD of the vehicle’s radio head.

BlackBerry Curve 8900: The Universal Cell Phone

without comments

by Allen F. Baker

For years BlackBerry phones have only appealed to one type of consumer. With their vast business applications BlackBerry phones have always been an invaluable tool to anyone working for a large company or in a business setting. With such a specific target audience BlackBerry phones needed a way to reach more people. The new RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 makes that possible. The Curve 8900 takes what BlackBerry phones have been good at and completely revamps it for a new younger media centered audience. This phone will make a great device for business people as well as anyone else looking for an amazing phone with media streaming functionalities.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 has enhanced the look and design from previous installments. To date it is the thinnest BlackBerry phone with a full QWERTY keypad. When compared to the bulkier thicker phones out there the Curve 8900 is an obvious step in the right direction. The phone also has a more modernized look which is another improvement. In the past BlackBerry phones werent that fashionable, but this new Curve is very presentable with its finely applied paints and finishes. The screens size isnt much to write home about but the color display is simply beautiful. Colors, images, videos, etc will appear very colorful, sharp, and vibrant. The Curve 8900 is also smaller that all over BlackBerry phones before it. Amazingly typing on the keyboard doesnt suffer from the small size. The keys are still spaced well enough apart and are very tactile to the touch because they are raised.

There are many features found on this phone that would still make it a great phone for any business person. The Curve 8900 comes with DataViz programmed into it. This application allows users to open and edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. Such a feature was available on previous phones but only by downloading an application for it first. One of the new features included is an improved web browser. It now supports full HTML which gives the user a better web surfing experience. Not only is it faster but one can also stream media like downloading music and movies. Not only that but you can watch YouTube clips as well. The Wi-Fi on the phone is a great improvement but the Curve 8900 could have used 3G support.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 features a 3.2 megapixel camera which takes good looking photos. It is far superior to the 2 megapixel camera found on most other BlackBerry phones. Surprisingly the camera can also record video. But the quality was decent.

The actual phone performs very well. The microphone does a good job at not picking up any background noise so the person on the other line will not have any trouble understanding you. Also the speakerphone was quite functional. The volume was adequate and there wasnt much distortion coming through the speaker when the volume was increased.

BlackBerry has finally released a phone that the general public can enjoy. In the past BlackBerry phones have generally only been suitable for business people. But the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 is a phone everyone can enjoy.

3 Ways to Fix a Slow Computer

without comments

by Anne Torres

There are many reasons or grounds that a computer will start to hold up. Regrettably it’s a reality that PCs tend to get overflowed with a lot of useless files. This is one of the main reasons why you will become aware of a computer start to break down as it gets older.

How accurately do you repair a computer that is starting to run slow? Well, there are few exact answers when it comes to computing for the reason that of all the different possible computer configurations and circumstances. Nevertheless, there are a number of common ways to fix a slow computer, which I go into underneath.

1. File defrag

As you make use of computer fragments of files get “jumbled” on your hard drive. Every fragment is related when you access the file you want to, but for the reason that the files have to be “connected” as such your computer operates slower.

For this reason if you defrag your computer (the suitable software comes in all Windows installations) your machine will almost certainly start running faster.

2. Registry defrag

Every time you install an application or make a system-wide change data is stored in the computers “registry”. However, when you remove an application or the system-wide change becomes irrelevant this data can sometime be left in the registry making it bloated and slow. Your system has to always call on and search through this data store and the bigger it is the longer it will take. Coincidentally it is probable to download registry defrag software which will help out in fixing this problem.

3. Reformat

The most excellent solution of fixing a slow computer. Reformatting your PC wipes your hard drive and forces you to start again. This removes all the bloat and unnecessary files and permits you to be more watchful in terms of what you put in and how many files you have on your computer. Bear in mind to backup your files prior to reformatting.
